Thiru R. P. Sarathy, Founder and Chairman was born in Salem on the 14th November 1931. The family needed financial support and hence he could not pursue his education above 8th Standard, SSLC. As a very hard worker and an honest man he faced the hardships and tough realities with confidence and courage and proved to be a pillar for the whole family. Calculation is his strongest asset and that has helped him take calculated business risks. The household brand name Narasu’s™ which had its birth in Salem was first popularized and made available to the South Indian markets. Within a short span of time he popularized the brand and the products became popular in the Indian and International market segments. The reputed name now has many industrial and consumer goods and the products reach both the Indian and International market.

Established in the year 2008 with the motive of developing technically and socially responsible engineers, NSIT now stands as a benchmark for academic excellence and industrial placements in the region. Our college is promoted by Smt. Mahalakshmi Ammal Educational Trust, whose members are veterans in the industry and academia. The Founder and Chairman, Thiru. Narasu’s Sarathy Ayya, is a great Entrepreneur, Educationist and Philanthropist, who laid the foundation stone of this institution on January 26th, 2008.

Headrun was started in 2010 in Bangalore, India with the goal of building a company capable of applying advanced technology to solve practical problems – an accelerator of applied computer science. What started as a two member team hacking away on code in a spare bedroom has now grown into a team of 16 buzzing Headrunners.
